Mas Bousarenys Dolmen
:
Maximum duration:
It’s an interesting circular route that goes up and down Romanyà, in which we’ll know the Mas Bousarenys dolmen, one of the three documented dolmens of Santa Cristina (the others are the well-known Cova d’en Daina and the Pedres Dretes d’en Lloveras).
We’ll go up to Romanyà through Pla de Panedas (plain), el Roquetal, can Llac and
Font Josepa (fountain). Below Puig d’en Ponç, we’ll go down through different paths in order to find the dolmen. It’s in Roca de Malvet, next the fence of a detached house. It dates from approximately 2500 BC. The rectangular-shaped sepulchral chamber has 6 metres-long corridor.
This megalithic monument has not been lucky lately. Left behind the house, it was about to disappear because of the construction development in the urbanisation. Maybe it’s time to preserve, tidy up and signpost the spot in order to avoid possible acts of vandalism. The route crosses the Mas Bou hill to reach Santa Cristina, at the level of the greenway and come back to Sant Feliu.
This intense route is about 40km long through plenty of paths, aiming to know Bousarenys dolmen, this excellent monument near home.
